CAMEL LANDY IS ON IT’S WAY HOME……

CAMEL LANDY IS ON IT’S WAY HOME……

    AND…

    It will be back….

Yesterday, we met a great couple from the UK.

Mike and Anne finally loaded their Camel Landy into a container for its journey back to the UK, where it will be rebuilt and, hopefully, return to Australia to complete its adventures.

We live very close to Shaws Transport Depot in Sydney and offered to give Mike & Anne a hand to get their Landrover loaded into a container so it could get back to the UK .

Here are a few pics of Mike & Anne s pride & joy being transported and loaded ……

What a lovely couple they are…. And hopefully we can all welcome them back here in the future …. it was a great pleasure.

Good on you for helping them out!

Looks like they will need to replace almost the entire car!

Hope all goes well, and they can return soon, with a newly refurbished "camel-(in)-tow".

Surprisingly the door alignment was better than that on some brand new Defenders. I think the roll cage helped.

I think it would be an awsome rebuild. Straightening the chassis on the front right will be a bit of a challange though.

Hit a wheel rut, spun and rolled, and hit another landy coming the other way. (something along those lines, anyway.)

    Absolutely freak accident.

Haha...yes it is quite clean - except for the spare tyre on the back (that NT dust ) With the amount of rain we've had over the past couple of weeks, we could have just left it outside and it would be just as clean.

Could have saved Sheila the job of washing it too!
