and yet at only 2:15 the woman is picked up by her hair seems a bit much dont you think was the big bad policeman scared of a woman half his size when she is also handcuffed???
Some of you might've seen the news about the QLD Police Officer just sentenced to 27 months jail for "assault".

I know this is a polarising topic, but honestly it makes me sick.Sadly those who choose to break the law are treated like "innocent" victims - while the police get hung out to dry. I'm against brutality of any kind, but honestly this is a joke...he's no thug. I agree he used more force than was called for, but I reckon internal discipline should've been it.
The reason I'm so ticked off with this is I know the background - his dad is a colleague of mine. The full story is fairly different from the "thug" they're making him out to be!
I've got nothing to do with the police either, I just appreciate the hard job they do...and we wonder why there's a shortage of police.
Anyway, I'm off my soapbox.![]()

in that vid there seem to be a lot of handcuffed ppl getting wacked, doesnt look too good to me i dont care was the person has said to the copper but its no excuse for some of the crap in that vid
It's not an easy jobs and you do deal with the dregs, but.....he assaulted three people, two of them whilst they were handcuffed.
He plead guilty to four counts of assualt.
His colleagues were the ones that filed the complaints.
He was a police officer, not a nightclub bouncer.
He'll do nine months, I think he's pretty fortunate.
Thats appauling behaviour, as a police officer im embarrased by his behaviour. Police are allowed to use REASONABLE force, not force in general, to carry out their duties.
Sorry but he deserves to be in gaol. There was no need to man handle the woman in the charge room the way he did, then to punch the handcuffed bloke, not good at all.

these coppers that take the law in to there own hand deceived to be in prison, fancy a big burly police officer beating up a young girl, shoving a hose down the throat of this young man, this young guy was probably drunk or mentally ill, there is NO excuse for this sort of behavior from any police officer......bloody cowards..........they should do there time in the general population in jail.......see how good they are thenand how many people have been killed by police in prison cells over the years, and the police of gotten away with it.........
If someone had assaulted a copper like that they would get a lot more time than he did. I hope the Attorney-General appeals the sentence.
URSUSMAJOR
Never been any different SC. Two sides to every story. I'll keep my thoughts to myself, suffice to say that when the silent majority sit in their bubbles and shake their head at the lawlessness that pervades society these days - and wish for the return of the likes of the TRG and 21 division - the vocal minorities and snivel libertarians arise and see to it that "hard" policing, in its broadest term, is long dead.
Unfortunately, in NSW at least, the public have been given a police force handed to them by a succession of incompetent premiers, an imported police commissioner who took it back 20 years and sacked some of the most feared and brilliant cops to walk the streets, oversaw a police royal commission which did nothing more than prove that endemic corruption did not exist but managed to throw enough **** to ruin many officer's lives, then tried to reinvent the wheel. And now, with a recruitment policy where academia and a degree are all pervasive; and your partner one day will be looking to slip a complaint in against you the next day so he/she can get a promotion. There is no brotherhood anymore. The "force" has been whiteanted from both inside and outside. The majority of cops on the street have less than 10 years experience, think they know/have done everything and look to get off the street and into a hidey hole ASAP because they can't hack it anymore. Enough said.
No real excuse there are plenty of thugs in the police but overall everyone should go and experience abuse everyday all day and see how long your TEMPER lasts, not as long as the police I expect
