    Not much, but there are heaps of vacuum hoses, etc.
    The actual manifold only has three bolts per side (from memory).
    There are also coolant pipes and coolant passes from the manifold into the heads (once again from memory).

    Why do you need to take it off?

    Vacuum leak from manifold gasket?

    You should be able to lift it enough to replace the gasket without pulling it right off.

    That's about the only problem we ever had with those motors.... Getting the intake to seal.

    A lot of hot air coming from the driver's side?

    Doesn't sound like a mechanical problem to me.

    I remember as a lad I has to fix a blown head gasket on one of these. Took it apart in the car, faced the weeny head on my lathe, and put it together again. Never had no techy manual for it. What's the matter with undoing as many bolts as hold it together? It's not that complicated.

    Labels, tippex, photos. The hoses WILL go back where they came from! Seems to work for me.
