    Wild and woolly weather

Talk about all seasons at once. Moderate rains yesterday, damaging wind with torrential rain last night and now snow this morning! To beat... the sun is now out as well. Whats going on. Talk of frost after this, bye bye crops
Hasn't snowed here for 20yrs and now October
    What will be next?

    It's a mess here now.

Our October average is 6.2mm. Had 40mm today and about the same last week.

Sorry to hear about the damage.

Strange weather all over the country Tony.
Bad drought over here in WA,no green pasture left around here, stock getting put into failed crops, canola crops getting bailed as hay.
Had plenty of days over 30degC already going to be a long hot summer I think!!!

Snow vs. Sunny here all day, and cold all day, lovely.

All the wind was yesterday and none of the trees I wanted to fall over fell over.

Maybe I should've gotten out the handwinch and a hose and helped them along.

What a beautiful day, sun shining benevolently down, the sky a cloudless light pastel blue, all the birds and light aircraft getting blown clear to New Zealand

Took my 11 year old son out to fly his kite today.

I'm really going to miss the little guy.

I just saw all the footage on the 7pm ABC news,AWESOME weather event.
How is the Murray/Darling river system going with all these floods over east???? Has any water got to the ocean yet????

Was in Adelaide 8 days ago and the Murray is 100m wide at the barrage for the first time in over 10 years.

Most crops are fence high but SA hasn't had too much of this rain etc so hopefully most will be OK.

Worst fire season for a decade is the warning already.

We drove from the Central Tablelands of NSW (Orange) to Bunbury WA three weeks ago. The lush wheat and canola crops all the way across to the Nullabor were just outstanding. It was quite marked to see the dry crops when we came into the wheatbelt from Kal. We saw quite a few headers on trucks heading east, no doubt there is not much of a market for them in WA this year.

Spoke to some rels in Bathurst today. It was trying to snow and the winds were horrific. I had to remind them that in Bunbury it was 25 deg and very pleasant.

It is pretty dry around here though. Have a few farming friends that won't even bother getting out the hay gear this year.
