    Looking for flat drive belt.

I was butchering some treated pine sleepers on my table saw and threw a drive belt. When I opened it up I found that one of the other belts had a nick in it, so time to replace them all before something happens.

The machine is Italian and twenty five years old, so I'm not likely to find spares.

I'm looking for a place, hopefully near Penrith, that makes up flat drive belts to order. Anyone know if somewhere like Pirtek or similar does belts?

    tia.

I used to get my vee belts from either Actrol (Robinson Cres ?) or Metropolitan Bearings in Coreen Ave in Penrith many moons ago, but any industrial supplies warehouse like them, Blackwoods, etc. should be able to help with a flat belt.
    Not Pirtek AFAIK.

<edit> there are some engineering shops with old blokes that can still make/join flat belts too. Might have to grab the yellow pages and do a ring around.

Take the belts to Bursons or their illk Simon, chances are they will be able to match them, even if they don't have them in stock.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Got the saw over on its side today and got the belts off. Hopefully I can find something in Penrith tomorrow.

A couple of the belts run on both sides. And one of the pulleys is 25mm, dunno if a V-belt would do it.
