    2012 defender

NOOOOO! found this on the intersmut,( Automobile fans world, emotion world, funny space, cool car pictures. ) please say it isn't so! It looks UGLY! Over 60 years of a great design, and now they bend over to the pansy shapes of all the other 4wds!

"Defender owners in the off-road sector has a good reputation and is widely used in various types of military and special operations units, but also by numerous off-road players like, since today's Defender already have 60 years of history, although in the 60 years Defender tried to release deluxe edition and the launch of which model, but this is only a small part of the transformation, but not great in appearance and action. Recently out of the network upload pictures Defender models 2012, from the picture point of view before the new Defender model replaced with a new shape, although no money models wild appearance, but still very high-handed, while 2012 Defender will also be introduced shall many different models, equipped with 2.7L
V6 engine, the body will be brought to 195 horsepower for U.S. market will also be equipped with 5.0L V8 engine model."

Well, I hope they are mistaken, and that's actually the new Freelander ???

The next generation Defender will no doubt be 'softened' a little, but at least something like this still retains some of the classic lines............

Looks like they have been letting the Indian Dudes do the design work. Two of the lamest designs I personally have seen since the Dodge Nitro and the ford falcon of late 1990's!

I find that all a little upsetting.

Just what we all need to go and down hills POWER!!!!

I guess with the upgrade it will have air bags-front, side, rear, top, and under. Side intrusion bars, EBS, traction, and little bell for ever thing not open or shut properly. Maybe 8 way electronic seat adjustment, his and hers air con.....

    WOW can't wait

I wouldn't be too worried about these god-ugly concepts, every third year Industrial Graphics student gets an assignment to design the next shape of their chosen car, 3D model it and render it to create images just like those shown above. Most add pie in the sky technical details, enormous engines running on hydrogen and whatnot. Some actually look conceivable but most people come up with 24" rims, near horizontal windscreens without wipers and no back seat or fuel filler. At my uni, the stupid/useless designs got the best marks too.

not good, the second design looks better, first one looks like a 3rd grader butchered a picture of a freelander 2.

Those low mounted fog lamps under the front bumber on the second design won't last long.

...methinks our Pumas just had their re-sale value boosted a wee bit .
