    feeling your pain brother.....

Back in the early days of phones, had one of those Nokia "Bricks" and the same thing happened, turned a corner and whoosh out the window it went.

Hit the anchors and pull over to the side of the road, jump out of the car and as I'm running back watch no less than 5 cars drive by on way to the intersection thinking "it's just a little airborne, it's still good, it's still good" only to watch to sixth and last car to drive by before I run out to collect the lost cargo line up with both front and back wheels dead center over my phone and smash, kablooee, game over.....

    Nokia pancakes anyone???

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
mind you all of that pales into insignificance best bit of jetison onto a carriageway ever! must have been when I was in the back of a bedford TM travelling to Catterick Garrison with some of my mates (as part of the advance party, our particular load was personal effects, webbing & suitcases and the like.
All of a sudden one of the side ropes went AWOL there was crap behind us bouncing down the motorway, I mean peoples irons, civvies, dress boots all sorts of stuff flying toward the traffic behind.
It was an amazing sight to see officers, NCO's and bods all dodgy oncoming cars in an attempt to rescue this battered kit too funny.

I was driving home from work one day and there was a Nokia 5110 in the middle of the road. By the time I stopped I would have been 100 past and as I was walking back to get it a commodore ran over it.

When I got to it the battery had come off but it had no other damage. Hardly a scratch.

Tracked down the owner and it turned out it was only three days old and on a two year plan. Had it been smashed he would still be paying it off for two years. The phone worked perfect.

on a slightly different note. A large pantec van was passing when its battery fell out of the holder and smashed all over the road. The driver pulled over to see what had happened and switched the motor off (diesel). If he had just left it running!!!!!
