Hmmm... according to the retail price index £600 in 1956 money is still only equivalent to $20,000! Imagine getting a brand new Land Rover for that nowadays.

Well done, Dan. All the hard work has paid off - it looks great.

Nice looking car - a credit - what tail lights did you end up putting on - they suit it well?

That S1 is the same colour as my envy and was made the same year that I was.

I showed it to Sal last night and she reminded me that I have her A Model Ford in the shed that wants my attention.

if it only came with the basics they could probably do it!

but with anti pollution, anti death features...it got dear!

I'm very pleased to see everyone is as excited as I to have perfected the art of time travel. My rear lights are genuine Della Beacons, as were fitted in 1956 - hey - didn't you read the post?

I'm carefully running her in and expect to go through all the usual warranty issues we real LR drivers get. But I think I'll delete my wanted add for the cab roof from the markets section - I'll just go through another facial distortion next weekend and head into Blue Ribbon and buy a new one!
