Plenty of car drivers do the same, regardless of make.

I've lost count of the number of times they just have to pass, even though I'm sitting on at least 105km/h actual speed, then they slow down to 90km/h once in front

Hell, I've had several Defenders/110's not wave in the last few weeks.
    That's almost worse

We had that happen to us, we were following behind a group of about 6 of them, all towing campers or caravans, there was a slow truck infront of us. Get to an overtaking lane so all of them move over into the overtaking lane at once and only the lead car manages to get up enough steam to get past. I stay in the left land and draw level with the back one and then slow down and merge back in behind him, i was just keeping pace up the hill so the diesel didnt bog down.

Then, without knowing we just happened to be on the same UHF channel, one of them says "Did you see the dickhead in the green Discovery?"

I jump on and say "What, you mean the dickhead that can hear you"

    Total silence

Then I say "Well I would suggest you clowns are the dickheads for blocking the entire overtaking lane in vehicles that dont have enough steam to overtake"

    Total silence.

Dont know what they have to achieve by behaving like that, its only a small minority of one eyed ******* who behave like that. I have come across nice nissan and toyo drivers.

Ive done the D2,it EATS pootrols and cruisers
Recentley travelling to Perth I had one of those new V8 diesel Tojo traytops doing the heamarroid act.I was behind 2 roadtrains,it was a little bit foggy in the hollows so I wasnt prepared to risk passing 2 roadtrains untill there was an overtaking lane.MR In a hurry in the Tojo had MANY aborted attempts to pass me.Hit the overtaking lane,he tried to go aroundI selected 3rd and went into warp drive. Was back on my side of the road before he passed the first roadtrain

It was very funny, even stacey had a go at them, not a peep out of them.

I had this guy in an 80 series tailgating me one day, at the overtaking lanes he didnt have the power to pull past but on the flats he was right up my arse. I backed off on the next hill and just let him go, as he want past i reckon the valves in the poor olf diesel were bouncing off the underside of the bonnet and he was towing a big trailer with a huge spa on it. Why he was in such a hurry i dont know.

I overtook a few troopy's and patrols towing my grandparents caravan back from cooma. They were towing vans also, was deeply satisfying overtaking the so called "best tow vehicles" whilst I was also towing a heavy van.

We've talked about disrespect ... how's this for respect. On the way back from the engineers in my County last week, we pulled out of some back lane country and a real gnarly looking dirt biker passed us from the left and made the effort to give us a nod of recognition. Getting respect from off roaders in a different class says a lot.

Its not hard to be courteous. In the end regardless of make or model we are all in the same sport/recreation.

    You bloody hoon Andrew .............

Mine's not chipped, but still walks all over Cruisers and Pootrols, especially uphill.

There's not a lot of hills around Kal, but there is one reasonable pull on the first hill coming out of Kambalda heading back into Kal, and there's an overtaking lane all the way to the top. I've lost count of the number of times that I've pulled out and blown off Cruisers (including V8's) and Pootrols going up that hill in the Disco - as recently as Saturday just gone.

Some of them get most upset about it too - come barrelling up behind you when you're over the hill and on a long flat or a down hill run and scream past at a great rate of knots. I just smile and sit on whatever the cruise control is set on - the point having already been made.
    Cheers .........

    BMKAL
