    Posts gone walkabout

Lately I have posted a couple of new threads. When checking, they do not show up in the normal page but they are there in the category I created them in. What is happening? Jim

Posts are moved, merged and or deleted when they do not comply with the forum rules. See Australian Land Rover Owners - FAQ and http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...read-gone.html

Other times a thread is posted in the wrong area. i.e. a special interest forum that would be appropriate for all members or similarly it is in a general area where it should be in a special interest area.

Threads that are rants that have a potential for angst amongst members are often moved to the soapbox.

Remember the umpires decision is final, if there is a problem, send a report to the Admins and Moderators!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Isn't it simply a case of whenever you have created a thread, or submitted the final reply to a thread, it will not appear if you click "new posts" because the vBulletin software sees that you were the last to post and doesn't bother showing it as a new post you haven't seen?

The same happens if you start a thread, someone replies, and you review it. vBulletin records the fact you've seen the whole thread and doesn't show it under "New Posts" until there's another reply.

I'm sure Incisor will come along soon and confirm.

    I'm going round the bend!!!

When I post in the Range Rover / L322 forum my thread does not show up on the main page, although it is in the forum. What am I doing wrong. Jim

Doesn't work. I have twice sent questions to Admin about issues and never get an answer.
