One was last week. I got an email notification on a subscribed thread. When I clicked on the link to read it a notice came up advising me of a problem. The problem was the thread had disappeared.

It said if I have clicked on a link and this has happened to contact admin. The word admin was a link so I clicked it. I was directed to a "PM Admin"

I did this and asked the question Why has this thread been deleted.

Quite some time ago there was a poster who was advertising his business in his signature. I was not sure if this was allowed so I PM'ed admin to ask them. Again I got no reply.

    Dave.

much more reliable method is to hit the report button or send a message to the moderator of the area in question...

if you sent me a message last week and it wasnt directly related to what i was doing at the time then it is most probable that i wouldnt have had time to reply.

How do I do this. Where do I find a report button or how do I find a moderator for the area in question.

The report button is the triangular sign in the top right frame of the post in question (any post actually).

Once a post is reported(by using the triangle with the excalmation mark on every post) a copy of the report is sent by email to the moderator(s) of the area the post occurs in,it also automatically appears as a "new post" in the Moderators area, where action is discussed/enacted by the moderators.
As Incisor says, reporting a post is the easiest way of getting attention. The other method is to contact a moderator of the area the post is in via PM,the moderators of the various sections can be seen on each section.
    Thanks
