No more extended warranty for Puma Defender?

I just received a message from Trivett who say that as of Oct 10 this year there is no more extended warranty for the Puma Defender of any kind. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I understand some members got an extended warranty from allianz that was very close to the LR offered Warranty but Trivett have told me that even this is no longer available.

It's costing them too much in claims, maybe they should try building them better. Pat

Maybe LRA should do as Ford once did and sell badge engineered Nissan Patrols.

and there I was thinking that maybe I could sell my 5 year old d3 and step into a new puma and have trouble free motoring which would also be helped along by better retained value than what the d3 is experiencing.
Obviously if they can't afford to offer a decent warranty it's going to cost to much to run.

can anyone build a decent 4wd that doesen't come full of inherent engineering faults these days?

i realy think looken at the new pumas coming thru that they have given up and are just wating for them to end production, they are coming in sooner and sooner now,, its not uncommen to see a puma come in with 800kms and a big list of faults, or the puma this week with 600km and a stuffed gear box???

they had the chance to make a defender that people would like to own and drive, every day people, not just enthusiast like us, they had the right idears, just tryed to save to much money and look at it, if it was made the way it should have been id love to owen a puma, but il be sticking with my td5,

Give Luke a call at Southern Cross Land Rover in Toowoomba Qld. (1300 318 647)

You can buy extended warranty from any dealer - they sell the Allianze version.

From what I've been told today even this is no longer available, but I will do as you suggest and call them. Thanks for the number scallops.
