    Tractor ID

Can someone tell me the age of this Fordson tractor - age, model, ....

This tractor was stored by a mate on behalf of someone else. Long story but it is now at our place as my mate moved and the owner, Steve has nowhere to store it. He has basically said I can have it.

This tractor was a farm tractor and has been in Steve’s family for many years. It originally had steel wheels but converted it to pneumatic tyres many years ago – around the 1950’s

    I love the seat!

Also, what is the function of this?

This uses petrol to start and kero to run, I think. The fuel tank is in 2 separate sections.

The tractor appears to be fairly complete.

    Another project one day

It looks like a Fordson Model N circa 1940 - 1950 possibly a Cork (Irish) build 1929-32 or a Blue and Orange 1935-37. The wheel rims are wrong and may have been retrofitted from the original cast iron spoke design ones.

What you could do is pop down to the Campbelltown Steam Preservation Society on Menangle Road Menangle and see some of their "experts" on any weekend although the museum is only open to the public 2 weekends a year.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Mostly already answered. "This" appears to be the lower part of a water bath aircleaner, apparently replaced by an alternative intake.
