    Supercharged classic rangie. Boring

Went for a ride in a 95 classic rangie yesterday that was blown and had haltec management on it. Sadly it was disappointing. Very. It was a very nice conversion with a 4 litre in it. Blower was off a Holden V6.
Won't say much more but it needed to breath better. Performance wise. Good off the line. But that's it. My VE V6 ute flogged it and My ute weighs in at 2500kg. Mmmmmm so sad

from all I have read, the M90 is to short and can create pressure differences and can bugger the engine apparently the better one is the M112 as it is longer and gives an even pressure across the intakes?

dunno if it is true or not but I have read that in several different places now

Bit of gentlemanly discourse on Pirate about blowers and Rover motors atm (down the page, below the RRC surgery pics) here:

The fueling issue I beleive may have something to do with the standard 14CUX ecu having no extra fueling above 4800rpm.

I think you will find the main problem in the install you test drove was all to do with the engine management system.

It's very easy to set them up poorly, yet ever soo difficult to set them up well.

If a supercharged classic can't at least sorta keep up with a 2.5ton ve ute, then i'd be looking beyond the charger and the motor (assuming it's running a descent amount of boost, over 6psi).

Was it an auto or manual?

    Cheers

Auto. Running haltec. If it breathed better it may go harder. I'd expect it to turn the tyres. But sadly. No. Mind you. My VE is about 220kw
