A friend of mine drives it and tells me its quite a good trip, it used to meet up in weipa with the mothership Kestrel Bay that services our fishery.

Its very popular from what I hear, and some of those places like princes charlotte bay have heaps of history..the flinders islands in princess charlette have some good aborignal paintings and caves.

Would be something different for sure..

    Ean,
although I agree PCB and Flinders are awesome ( was there looking at the art just 4 weeks ago) but I doubt you would truly experience them on Trinity Bay... just as likely to steam past at midnight

It is essentially the barge to the straits taking some punters along for the ride.

Good though if you dont wanna drive - chances are the time of year most punters would be doing the trip would be the time most punters dont want to be on the FNQ east coast: 25-35kn winds day and night!!!!

Would be an interesting way to do the cape but certainly not the way to see history and rock art!!!!

Yep you are most likely right, just another way for an extra earn for seaswift.

I didnt read the speel and never asked Tony if they do stop anywhere, but they do run to a weekly sched so highly likely they wouldn;t stop.

    Cheers Ean
