    Disco 2 16" tyres-help

Apart from the obvious problems of speedo error, are there any other problems with fitting 245 75R x 16" to my 00 Disco.

    I currently have 235 . 70's x 16 fitted to standard Dosco mags

    Any ideas.

Any further ideas on a good brand of tyre of tyre for on and off road BUT I want light truck tyre

    many thanks

You can also get LT tyres in 245/70 16 which won't give so much speedo error.

Am using and happy with Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (made in USA not the AT made in Indonesia) 245/75R16. I have them on the standard year 2000 alloys.

Friend here has them in 235/85 on his Defender and he is equally as happy.

the 245/75 will give you 6% greater circumference, which will probably correct your existing speedo error.

I had some 245/75R16 ATs on my D2, that I swapped for the 18" rims that came on it as soon as I bought it. I then swapped them for standard tyres with a mate who uses his D2 off road more than me, in a bid to rule out tyres as my cause for bad mileage.
