Gday
Just bought a front ARB locker for the Landy (front diff is producing metal for some reason, so I thought while I'm in there...)
Only trouble is to save postage, the fella in America couldn't fit the installation booklet in. Apparently it would have upped the postage costs
Does anyone have an installation book I can borrow? To suit RD128 24 spline Banjo style front Landrover diff
I'll pay postage and return it back
Thanks

Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Heya jock, how much and where did you source the locker from the states? Im thinking of doing the same thing as my front diff has what sounds like carrier bearing noise and am thinking "while I'm there".
just grab the oem install book for the rover front diff, RAVE covers it.
Where it says "mount XX to the Diff center" substitute the words "your locking center"
its really that simple.

Thanks Pete, seems I didn't search hard enough
Hey mate
lucky8 in the US, or there is another fella on the US eBay
$900 delivered, hell of a lot cheaper than buying locally.
Seems ridiculous, they are an Australian company with the part made in Australia. Yet it's $350 cheaper to buy overseas
ahh so he didnt get the soft locker... its an air locker proper, my bad.
if the metal is coming from the pinion or the pinion bearings your are still going to need the OEM info for setting the pinion up properly.
IF its been producing metal for a while then ID suggest redoing the pinion bearings would probably be a good thing

I think I have a Workshop manual kicking around somewhere on the computer, so that should have the specs.
I am suspecting its the pinion bearing, there is a little dent in the front housing from a bit of a bump off road. So I'm guessing that was the original cause
I reckon I'll do all new bearings and seals from hub to hub (apart from wheel bearings they were done not long ago)
Mmmmm twin lockerslucky I've got the H/D axles
