    Road Condition Website

    Gday All,

We are heading off from Darwin after Christmas and planning to head to Brisbane, but all we see on the news is that the east coast is flooded.

Does anyone know of a website that gives road reports, closures etc for if not all of Australia then state by state...

May have to change plans and head to the Barossa..MMMM..tempting..

    Many thanks,

    Cheers Ean

Ean, The RACQ site has reasonably good info. Looks like things are going to escalate over the next couple of days depending on the movement of the tropical low. Th east coast is already pretty soaked and this predicted heavy rain is likely to produce flooding in the central/north coast areas.
    Cheers......Brian

This is Qld Transport which is a bit scary when you click on one of the closed areas and then it looks like the entire state is closed..

131940 Traffic and Travel Information - Home

I did hear the other day that there were flood warnign for every major river in Qld so that might give you a bit of a a tip! Barrossa might be looking real good.

G'Day Ean, sad to say mate but the whole bloody state is waterlogged.I see today that a cyclone crossed the coast south of Cairns and it has dumped plenty again. Here in Ipswich it rained all night ( again ) but to my knowledge the roads in the south east are not closed just really bloody wet.
    Have a safe trip mate,
    John.
