    bruce highway childers

anyone up that way got any ideas on how long the road will be blocked?

got son and his wife up there trying to go north with three dogs on board,
just trying to see if it may be better for them to turn around and return to the gold coast [like they can't book into a motel and sit it out with the dogs].

Bundy and surrounds (Childers, Gin Gin, Agnes Water) is pretty much cut off with the bruce Highway closed in a couple of (local) areas. It is still raining up here, and although not heavy, it has not stopped for quite a while.

How far north are we talking because it only gets worse from here. Pet friendy accom or turn around would probabley the best (safest) option.

It can take 2-3 days depending on how much water is coming, seeing we had around 160 odd mm of rain last night & the catchments coped the same if not more, I reckon it will be a day or two at least. I can't really offer you much if you are stuck on the highway. All roads in & out of Bundy are cut again today
Ahh well, I will just keep looking at the new shiny Puma in the drive way

We left Gin Gin with camper trailer behind and Kayak on roof at 2pm yesterday (Mon 27) Arrived Bris 8pm last night.
There were no closures on the Bruce then, although, south of Childers the Isis river was lapping at the low ground north of Torbanlea.
    Is it closed now?
