We are headed to the Clare Valley to sample some of the local grape juice, then headed to the Barrossa to see if the grape juice is better there, then to Mt Gambier and maybe further..
I need to get a better map but were planning on stopping at TRS anyway so will see what they have, the shaft isnt damaged but dont think the uni had to many more kms left on it..
Will send you a PM once I have worked out our directions.
Thanks for the offer..
Cheers Ean
Gday All,
Well we made Adelaide, via the beautiful Clare Valley, altho the locusts gave the windscreen and front end a work out.
The Taylors winery also gave the wallet a workout, but anything to Mrs Austral happyespecially when I get to go to TRS tommorrow
to return the D2 to some sembelence of its former self.
I do know that a d2 towing a camper in 2 wheel drive is a fun expierience, one I hope I dont have to do again..
Our sincerest thanks to all that have offered help with the front shaft..
Cheers Ean ,Louise & Cassie
Ok so now its become our most expensive road trip. we are now in MT Gambier, and will no doubt head for the great ocean rd, the D3 was a dream to drive and with a 190 ltr tank set-up plus 40ltrs on the trailer will be keen to see how far we make it heading home
Anyway the trip has been interesting to say the least so far, see whats install ahead..
Cheers Ean
How far East are you heading Ean?
We are now at Warnabool and will stop here for a few days, if we can get a camp spot for that long, will do a cruise along the Gt ocean Rd then bolt back to Adelaide then home..
Would like to look around alot more but have to be back in Darwin on the 16th, so will just do a quick run thru so we know the places to stop at next time we come thru..
Cheers Ean
