    Any Paragliding pilots here?

    Just a quickie to see if there are any other paragliding pilots amongst us....

    no, but I've been to Mt Borah a number of times and have assisted quite a few paragliders to recover to the launch site....

    interesting pastime/sport - there was a recent abc doco about the german girl who got sucked into the thunderstorm at Manilla - went to over 33000' - and survived !

    she survived essentially because she was in effect snap frozen during her rapid ascent

    Taz over here in WA is a keen hanglider pilot.Seen him in action,awesome,but you would NEVER trick me into jumping off a perfectly good cliff like he does.

    Yeah, that was Eve. Whenever we talk about getting sucked up into clouds we call it "chucking an Eve". Yeah if she hadn't passed out she wouldn't have had enough oxygen to survive. I think if I was going up an 50m/sec I'd pass out too!
