    Another Newbie...

    Hi,

Not only a Newbie to Aulro but a Newbie to Aus. Bought a Td5 on arrival and its causing me some headaches.

My old 300Tdi never game me many problems. Or maybe that was rose tinted spectacles.

    Anyway. Hi.

Whats up with it? As Fluids has said, search is your friend. Preventative maintenance is the key. Welcome to the ecstasy and agony of the D2 TD5!
    Regards

Suspect the head gasket. Rather large pool of contaminated coolant/oil underneath.
It started leaking coolant a few weeks ago from the expansion tank return pipe. I replace it, then it started leaking from the same place again. Then after a short run the large pool appeared...

    Welcome mate.
Most of us who have Td5's have at times questioned our purchase but hey, once you get 'em right, they are a magic beast that will serve you well for a long time to come.

As has already been said, 'preventative maintenance' is the key.

    Hi and welcome to Aus!

Where are you living, NSW, WA, QLD, SA?

We landed from the UK about 18 months ago - excellent decision as it turns out and so glad the 110 came with us!

NSW, Sydney, Inner West to be precise.
The diagnosis of the fault was way out. It actually turns out to be a leaking pipe on the ACE/PAS resevoir mixed with some oil and coolant from other leaks. Panic over.
