The car is still there but not visible from the street. They're on the corner of River Rd West & Arthur St. The car is at the very back of their Arthur St driveway.

I can't tell if the panels on the front end are any good though. They were when the car first came in but it's been there for a while now.

To make matters worse she ( leading senior constable) coundnt even make up her own mind to write it off herself she had to call 14 and ask him. Whether she sould let driver vehicle 1 drive his car away. Then said to him dont drive it on james ruse drive the HWP will give you a ticket as its unroadworthy..... go figure
    That's just frog-bog!!

If you, or anyone in a prang, want it investigated then that's what the Police must do. The NSWPF handbook might define and major and minor (P4/P5) collision, but no where does it say 'they' will not investigate it.

I hate this bloody attitude of shonking (sorry Andrew) stuff off. A collision is a collision and someone is at fault. If either party want it investigated then bust out the notebook Princess

Anyway, all the best with it mate.

    Matt.

If the job has been created they must justify how they deal with it and if they dont justify why there was no need to deal with it.

A majority of the time if Police have arrived on the scene whether by accident or being assigned it by VKI they will deal with it.

If it is not dealt with correctly or you do not justify why you took the actions you did then the ORS / DI will come down on you like a tonne of bricks, i will assure you (in WA anyway).

There are obviously protocols and SOPS for every crash/ incident which you follow, not sure what happened here but i think the fact that a non citizen should have helped it be investigated and dealt with pretty swiftly due to the fact that they may not be in the country long and to gain back what damage has been done etc.

Oh also have you submitted the P72 (not sure what they call it in other states) as if you outline on the P72 the circumstances then it may be sped up with an investigation as they all get sent and analysed by the crash division.

How is it all going anyway ? did you get it back on the road ?

Unfortunately, like in any other form of employment, the Police force has shonks. There arent to many, well not that I have come across in time in the job, which isnt that long I guess.

But as stated above, if we get called to the job by police radio then we investigate the matter fully, well those amongst us that arent shonks.

If its a clear P5 then we still take details and put it on the system as a P5 and that saves them ringing PAL. If the accident falls into the P5 category we cant put it on the computer system as a P4 as it doesnt meet the criteria to be classed on the system as a P4. Having said that if one of the drivers has committed and offence then an Infringement can be issued whether its a P4 or P5.
