    Morayfield/Caboolture Flooding

I know a few people on the forum live in the Caboolture area.

I have a house along Caboolture River Road about 500m from the junction of Morayfield Road. Any idea whether that area is likely to be flooded.

Also I understand that people have been asked to evacuate low lying areas - if this applies to you, I hope all goes well and you and your families remain safe.

    Good luck.

    Garry,
You should be right there, the road slopes down to the intersection of Grant Rd.
Then again my brother just said houses one street away from him are gone and he is off CRR.

    G'day Folks

I spoke to Dave's Shop (Incisor) about 11.30am and they were busy removing stock and evacuating, the water had risen 2 feet in about 10 minutes, I am close to his home, but Bribie Island and surounding areas are isolated with both Bribie Is Rd and Old Toorbul Rd cut, evacuations are the go in Caboolture,Burpengary,Strathpine.

Latest news on Ch 9 is that the Brisbane river has broken it's banks and they are evacuating the lower CBD,the authorities have just stated that this one will be bigger than the 1974 flood

And there are a lot more people living in low flood prone areas than there was in 74 Evacuations also in Fortutude Valley, this all depends on the incoming tide with Hhgh tide mid afternoon, with king tide thursday.

My heart felt condolences to those that have lost loved ones and animals, as I am very well aware of numerious kennels/catteries and stud properties in the Lockyer Valley

    IT AIN'T GONNA END SOON

    cheers

Take care all of you down that way and stay safe. I hope it's not a repeat of the '74 floods. Our thoughts are with you.

    Bloody hell.

I'm at Redcliffe and very unlikely to be involved in any risk. If there is anything I can do to help people up here (keeping in mind road closures etc) let me know.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Latest from Ch 9 is for Caboolture people NOT to use their cars as the area is totally cut off and to just head for high ground.

Yes, I have just been talking to an elderly friend in Caboolture. She is cut off, but should be safe.

    Uncle Ho

It's good that you and Inc are O.K. at the moment, have we heard about Perry (Numpty) etc?

My thoughts are with everyone up that neck of the woods.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
