    Scallops and Kat

    Just an update from Dan and Katrina in Ipswich. They've spent the day sandbagging, and getting the Land Rovers somewhere safe. Water hasn't gotten to their place yet, but expected overnight. Sounds like they're as sorted as they can be.

    Dan wanted to pass on thanks for the calls, tell everyone they're okay, but don't have time to answer calls.

    Same here DB, won't get much sleep tonight

    This is shaping up to be a huge, disasterous event, history breaking water levels hopefully not to be seen again

    Please everyone don't take risks in flood waters, many already have with dire consequences.

    One of my customers just Texted me from Charleville, he is trying to head south tonight. I hope they don't take any unnecessary risks, not sure is the way south from there open? I thought not.

    Heard from Dan and Kat again. Flooded in, but not up to the house yet. No power, patchy 3G. Plenty of drinking water and 12v fridge on spare battery.

    Dan & Kat are still good... latest update from them is:

    peak @ 1600 hrs and we should survive in tact, front garden is now the Bremer river, though.

    We are still without services - even mobile coverage on verge of collapse. T...hanks for all the support everyone - I'm getting spasmodic email notification - this is a terrifying situation & many tears have been shed. Our neighbours are completely underwater.

    We remain vigilant and for now are at least safe and in our own home.
