Thread: SEQ Floods - Caboolture and Morayfield **Pic heavy**

These are just a couple of phone pics I took today of the floods at Morayfield and Caboolture.

The images really don't do the event much justice, but for those that know the area, will understand and appreciate the magnatude of the water levels.

Prayers and well wishes go out to the families that have lost a loved one, have loved ones missing and to all those that have lost everything!

Morayfield - This, and the flodding up at Centenary Lakes, completely isolates Morayfield and upper Caboolture

That yellow sign you see, is a hieght restriction sign for high vehicles for the rail road underpass leading into Morayfield shopping centre. The clearence is around the 2.4mtr mark from memory, the water is well above the rail road tracks!

Morayfield skate park, note the halfpipe under the sign? that is the top of the vert ramp that stands approx 2.5-3mtrs high!

Stopped due to lack of vision from the heavy rain

Flood water at Wamuran on Newlands road - Approx at the time 1.7mtrs ... This had actually fallen by the time I took this photo, the water level was up to the arrowhead on the bottom reg sign!

Self explainitory!!!!! ... Further proof why Bogans and Morons shouldn't breed! The bloke on the left was panicing as he was being swept away, but did eventually make it back to dry land while his bogan mates were laughing at him and calling all sorts of colourful names! ... the other bloke ended up perching himself on the cross bar of the footy goal posts, with the water lapping at his feet as it gushed on by! ... Gives you some kind of perspective as to the depth of the water!

I've seen more photos of the skate park with several more idiots diving off the railing of the vert ramp ... The ***** thing about it is, it'll take several rescuers to grab them putting their lives at risk to save them and or one of their mates being swept away to their death to realize just how friggin stupid they are!!
