    WOW! You guys were lucky.

Glad to hear you are both OK .... I know it's a D2, but, it's just a car. It can be replaced ... you two cannot.

Good luck with the ins' co' .... where in Newcastle & when is the auction ?

    Thank guys,

Happened on the Mitchell Hwy about 30km south of Wellington. 5 1/2 hours into a 6 1/2 hour trip.

So...had a call from my mechanic today (name withheld so no one else can get in on this potential deal)...he has some other customers, and...

If B buys A's car, then C might by B's car, which means I'd be knocking on C's door with a pile of money...

And I might just end up with a car better than the one now rolled...

NRMA now says auction in Smithfield (Sydney). Yep. Heaps of good parts. Will try to get the car myself.

Lol, it shrunk in the wash....

Crash pics looked pretty hairy, lucky to get out with very minimal damage to oneself. And extremely lucky to not hit the semi.

The A pillars on discos are very very small. I have often wondered about their strength in a roll. I don't know how hard you hit on the front of the roof but the A pillars seem pretty squashed. But yes, there is plenty of head room in discos so that is one thing in their favour.

The question had to be asked, yes I did send it.

Mate that must be heart breaking she looked like she was immaculate before the bingle.. Glad to hear you and your mate are Ok. Makes you feel safe knowing what sort of a beating the mighty Disco can handle if it has to. Good luck with the replacement and the buy back

    Glad that you:

    1) Didn't have your 2 year old with you,

    2) Both got out OK,

    3) Were able to take pictures and post them.

Certainly hope your insurance company look after you and the replacement vehicle is all you hope for.
    Cheers, Dale
