Thread: cosmetic repair

I just got back from holiday to find my immaculate defender that I left in the driveway is no longer so immaculate; thanks to next doors clumsy removal men I now have two dings, one on the drivers door and one on the wing, along with scratches and pink paint residue . To their credit they were good enough to leave a card, 'sorry about your car', and have agreed to pay for the repair once I get a quote.

Can anyone recommend (from experience) a repairer in either the Sydney or Newcastle area?

My first thought was to take it to the (Sydney) dealership where the previous owner brought it from new but I'm not sure about dealership service and whether the price will be a problem with the removal company - after all, all this is on faith and I have no real 'proof' that they did it and I don't want them to walk away from this.

Although the damage is minor I just know it's going to cost a packet to make it good.

I don't want to take it to any old place and get an average job - it was looking like new and I want it back that way. Also, as it's likely the door trim and wing will have to come off I want it all put back together right and done by someone who knows their way around a Landy.

Any thoughts, suggestions and recommendations welcomed.

Oh and to cap it all my holiday was rubbish too!

do a white pages search for panel beaters/smash repairs in your area and get a few quotes
