ok well i joined a while ago but i suppose there has been alot of changes on fb since then

Normally if you click on one you will have a friend in common eg. your sister and they're your sister's co-worker or some such but you have no clue who they are.

Nope, no friends in common or friends of friends. Only way I could think of them popping up is if they'd searched for me. Made me much more careful who I go looking for.

If you have ever used the friend finder feature, Suggestions may show people who have your email address in their address book and/or contacts that you have in your address book

Yes I agree - for business pages like ours you get a weekly email saying how many people have stopped by and for every new post you get details on how many views it has had so the technology is there it just doesn't extend to personal profiles. I guess the amount of data it would require to track every profile would be crazy!

there have been, but the changes always make it harder to navigate. The original one was so much easier. Now its to complicated to find your way around. I find pages one day and then lose them the next. Why cant they just leave it alone.

I use my real name anyway, on other forums as well, and even the same avatar, or one similar, I think.
