Hey guys
I just want to run a idea i have at the moment past everyone to make sure i am not doing anything too stupid. My plan is to make a roof top console to house my uhf aswell as the ecu.
To do that i am going to try and make my own ecu extension loom, making sure that i use decent gauge wires so i dont intefere with any variable resistance readings going into the ecu. Then run the loom un the inside of the A panel to the console.
If it all works it should solve multiple issues... where to put the uhf, ecu raised a bit for river crossings, it should also assist a bit with the oil travelling through the injection harness to the ecu.
I am planing on screwing a 2 pine braces into the holes that the OEM console uses then making the rest out of plywood from there?
The only problem that i can think of is how how it will get in there???? so i might have to put a computer fan in there to get the air circulating?
So what does everyone think????
a bit ? Just how deep are you planning on going ?ecu raised a bit for river crossings
The units for the Pumas that go under teh cubby box seem to be the best ECU solution I;ve seen - and there dn;t appear to be cooling issues etc associated with that.
You wont need a fan in an overhead console just for a UHF etc... the holes you have in it for the speaker will allow enough airflow.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
