    LR sales up in WA

The weekend West Aust paper states that LR sales for 2010 in WA have risen by 32%.....no doubt attributable to the D4.

That's good to hear, now all LR need to do is give us some dealer/service points outside of the metro area to match it.

Gday Midal, hope all is well,

Think L/Rover need to look at their dealership all ready in existance( especially the Perth Stealerships) and the one's that should be in outside the metro area.

Considering the used price of most 4x4's compaired to the used L/Rover price I think sales should be up everywhere.Certainly seems to be more around Darwin these days..

G'day Ean.....I completely agree with you. It beats me, what with all the money being earned by folks working in the resource industries in this general area of the state and with such attractive packages as the RR and D4 etc, nobody is catering to this end of the market.

Lots of guys saying that they would like the luxo barges but with no service or dealers in the area they won't take the risk. Can't blame people for that, so Toyota are making a killing here.

Not sure you are aware of it or not, Westmore Fisheries are in the process of closing down most of their operations at Pt Samson (including the prawns) and relocating to Fremantle. Don't know the reasoning behind it but that's not good news for this area.

Did hear it had something to do with the fish side of things, and the cost to get it to market along with the new limits being imposed by WA Fisheries..

Shame that the impacts on the local economy aren't taken into account with management type decisions are enforced

Not sure its all atributable to the D4, starting to see a few around, but there seems to be a lot of orders for Defenders (annecdotal tam of course) and a few RR Sports getting around in WA.

I would have thought a good chunk of that came from the hail damaged vehicles??
