Im thinking about importing a camper trailer from South Africa, specifically, a Conqueror Conquest, or Companion. I am aware of the implications for importing into Australia in terms of vehicle imports, duties/taxes, and quarantine requirements. What I am not familiar with is if there are any funny export requirements, nor who, or how, and how much freight would cost.
So, specifically:
1. Are there any unknown government export requirements?
2. Any recommendations as to how to get it from Johannesburg, to Melbourne?

i know the trailers yes they are good but there are equally the same and better trailers made here

if you where going to spend that sort of money go with the kimberly or aussie trac campers
I have access to a kimberley platinum now. Dont like it anywhere near as much as the Conqueror. If you are talking about their "karavan", way out of budget.
Im not familiar with "Aussie Trac" camper.
Would buy a Conqueror locally, but, new is too much, and their is no second hand market in them yet.
I also have family (distant) in South Africa so am investigating this.
Doing the sums, it works out about 50% cheaper.
