OPEN TO OTHER SUGGESTIONS (nice ones thankyou!)
(explain them if you have to!)

before you write anything nasty remember I may invite you for a BBQ... and remember Glencoe! (those scots amongst us will understand)

    Ballycampbell.

My far back relos were called Meehan so where they lived was called Ballymeehan, until some tyrannical pommy lord named Hamilton kicked em all out and it was then called Manor Hamilton, the name never changed back.

Already taken. It's on the Calder Highway.

Recently I've been corresponding with someone in the UK at "Witsend Farm".
I'm thinking about buying some acreage myself. It will be called "Fintail Farm" but that's another marque.
    What about "Landy Lodge"?
If the location is a little parched, I think a more bigger than Texas sounding name would suit such as "Lazy Landy Ranch". "Ponderosa" was already taken.

    And continuing in that theme

Since you are a patched up member of the "biggest gang in the land" ( quoting a NZ pollie from a few years ago)

    Diggers Patch
    Diggers Turf

But they sound better if applied to a cemetery.

And staying on topic, from the gangs of aussie

    "id seen 5 acres before"

    so -- Pot Paddocks.

    or an aussie classic

I think Bally is irish (I may be wrong) but is a place name... sort of "town of" or "town with"

I do like it but avoiding direct surname if possible..

    cheers
