A good belch works wonders for man and beast but I find such miracles to be not restricted to just XXXX beer alone.

About 20 years ago whilst on hols with a heap of mates, I got a really bad bout of food poisoning.

After all the vomiting had ceased, I had a completely dead, leaden feeling in my gut for days. I felt fine everywhere else but my gut was terrible. There was none of the usual digestive feelings, hunger, etc.

I was sick of watching my mates get on the beers, have BBQs, etc and I was stuck on bread and water. Night number 3, I said stuff it, I'm gonna have a beer. This was in Cairns, so XXXX was the drop.

Burped and farted till the cows came home, but other than a hang-over the next day, my stomach felt great.

    Cheers,

    Kev
