Thread: The Cons continue

Hi all

I recently advertised a caravan on Ebay and a few days later recieved a text message asking for my best price, To which I responded. This is clearly a scam and I was onto it streight away due to the spelling and grammer, but decided to have a bit of fun and see how much of this mongerals time I can waste.

I have forwarded the emails and details to Ebays sequrity centre but do not expect much.

Below is a copy of the emails to date, any good ideas as to waste more of this clowns time would be good

I cannot pay through ebay as i have had problems with them before, and i will really NOT WANT to deal with them, they made me lost nearly $12,750 when i paid for an item i bought from a guy and he never sent the item, i emailed paypal and paypal said ebay didnt forward the necessary details to them and that since i used the buy it now, i should forward all complaints to ebay which i did but up till date they didnt do anything,sorry but i will only pay straight into your paypal account. Try and get my situation here, once bitten twice shy.You are not the problem here, its ebay that messes things up. It might be better if you arranged a direct transfer to my account or prehaps a Bank Cheque? I'm wondering how you intend to pick the van up? Oh no, not the old " I work on an oil rig" scam, wouldn't you think that these idiots would have moved onto something else by now!! Although I guess the old (at least ten years) Nigerian scam is still around!!
