Sand blasting , thermal stripping,p' coat

I am looking for a cost effective sand blaster / thermal stripping ( whatever that is ) company in Melbourne to strip some side steps and a bullbar.

    Also a powder coater.

    Any ideas please

If the bullbar has been powder coated before you will need to get a shotblaster to remove it using steel shot (this is usually only done by powder coaters).

    Pete,
If you can find a powder coaters who do their own abrasive blasting (a lot of them do), there's less likelyhood of contamination between the blasting and powder coating processes. Also, request that they 'zinc' before the powder colour coat. Zinc coating is a normal practise to give better adhesion and rust resistance, but not all of them will do it without asking for it. Just tell them you want your items blasted, zinc'ed and powder coated.

It's also less hassle for you if you only have to drop your stuff into the one place and pick them up finished.

    Cheers, Murray

    Thanks Guys

What can you tell me about thermal stripping. Not sure who but someone mentioned it.

My mate has a powder coating line but I'm not sure it can handle side steps and bull bars.

Thanks for the tip on the Zinc process Rij. See you Thurs night. Would really like you and Rob to give the Isuzu the once over and maybe take a quick drive.

I think the b'bar was painted not powder coated Isuz.

    Pete
