    Lightbulb Insurance for 'enthusiast' vehicles

    Hi all,

We have recently imported a 1951 series 1 Landie (with a non standard engine) and a 1982 101 Ambulance...does anyone know of any insurers who would be able to offer comprehensive and ctp insurance for such cars?

    Thanks

You could try shannon's, I recently switched to them and haven't looked back. They seemed to be more geared for motorheads (entusiasts) than any other insurer.

    I would second that

My wife got hit tonight by another car. Was not her fault. Rang Shannons at night when she got home and they told her to go and get the car fixed either at a place they recommend or the local land rover dealership. Can't say fairer than that
They would fix all the other stuff

First time had to Phone them with a claim and they were very good so far

I am with Lumley Special Vehicles - more than happy with their cover and premiums.

    x 4.

And when asked if as an enthusiast your a member of a club, AULRO qualified!!

The Rangie, Disco, 2a trailer, SWMBO's Lancer and contents all with them.
With all that packaged it was about $800 a year cheaper than the next nearest.

X5 Got the wifes 90 insured with Shannons. They were very helpful considering a number of insurers would not even look at insuring at it's an imported vehicle. Despite the fact it's almost exctly the same as a 110 just a bit shorter!!
Also they let you pay monthly with no extra charge. It makes it nice and easy not having to remeber to pay the insurance.

    Hi there

I have never had a claim, but they look after my fleet of vehicles.

    All the best
