    Farewell

After a stoush with drivesafe to do with alternator capacity on the Disco 4 section, I have realised this is no longer the forum for me. To those who have offered valuable advice over the years, thank you and farewell.

    Cheers,

    Paul

Seems a bit extreme to leave the forum because of one disagreement. Too many other good things on here to be worried about one thing. If I worried about every argument I had each day I would never get out of bed!

well... we have to thank you for that interesting sequence of posts about alternators...

..... which was instructive in more than one way really

and just because some of the gurus slammed you a bit hard that's no reason to take your lr and play elsewhere...

and if you found the forum useful in the past I'm sure you will in the future, so stick around - everyone will have forgotten the stoush it in a week or two anyway

Hi Wilbur, I was slapped down on this forum once, and I was angry about it for a whole week. Then I got over it. I think you will too. Now if I post my opinion and someone violenty disagrees I simply move on and post on other threads. Saves aggro.

    Cheers and happy travelling.

Geez - don't run off just because of that! I've had a stoush with Drivesafe myself - turns out he was right, and knows a ****load more about auto electrics and low voltage applications than me, and just about anyone else I know.

That's one of the things I love about this forum! You can learn so much, and expand your knowledge if you are open to listening to others experiences and opinions.

Stick around - 1 bad experience shouldn't put you off!

    Cheers - Gav.

DO you mean that because Drivesafe has proven practical experience, combined with years of knowledge on a topic - one in which you attempted to justify a device which is unnecessary in a modern vehicle - and that YOU were/are unwilling to accept the facts and evidence presented or anything but hearsay and marketing hype... Nor back your statements with facts or evidence to support your opinion/training/background...

Seriously, get some thicker skin & Take a time out - Works for me... When I've had a gutfull of this place, I just go underground for a while and get stuff done around the house

Cant cyber drive all the time - rather be out there doing stuff

I just asked a group of 16 Profs, Ass Profs and the rest of the Elec eng faculty at uni about this and they all agreed the someone has NFI.

Now does Wilburs Qual's outshine them? I'm not sure because even when he quotes them he won't state what they are.

I'll supply the bat and ball

    Hi Paul

Please dont feel too bad .

We are all entitled to our opinions, and sometimes the comments made about them by others can hurt.

Have a break by all means, but dont stop coming back all together, I for one, am sorry to see you are feeling that way.

    Cheers Arthur
