I'm trying to convince my wife that an LRO subscription is the perfect birthday pressie... it's either that or an iPad, I know which is cheaper...
I'm procrastinating and avoiding the 'days off jobs list'. This of course means wasting a good amount of time researching LR stuff on the web. I buy the occasional issue of LRO when I'm in the big smoke and although it's got the UK/European bias I find it's still a good read, especially given the lack of editorial quality found in any Australian 4X4 offerings.
Anyway, this shows their current subscription rate is 66.50 pounds to Australia. That's approx A$100. And it's actually for 2 years.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to rehearse the lines I'll use when my wife returns from the hairdressers shortly...

That sounds like an excellent deal, I have looked through them at the Newsagents, but the price has always put me off!!Especially as they have a lot of advertisement in them!!

G'day Folks
I used to get LRO (Land Rover Owners)International but I have for many years now purchased Land Rover Monthly, and also Land Rover Enthusiast before they combined with LRM and at a Newsagent shelf price of $9.95 it is a good buy, but at 79 Pounds per year subscription (rest of world), I will wait until it appears at the Newsagent
cheers
Too right about the ads - they serve a valuable purpose in keeping my wishlist topped up as I buy stuff. Well, my wife calls it a wish-list...I know that 90% of the stuff on it will end up on the vehicle or in the shed in good time.
Thanks for that. I am yet to see a copy of LR Monthly. The latest issue on their website looks to have a bit of a Defender/Series bias maybe? Is that the norm? And their subscription rates are quite a bit dearer than LRO given that the 66 pounds deal was for 2 years' worth.
G'day Bell1975
LRM takes in all Land Rovers from 1948 80's to the latest Range Rovers & D4's and everything in between,it usually runs to 225 pages and deals in restored, club stuff and trials, overlanding and the US scene as well as the usual addslatest one I have is March 2011 with a bright yellow Defender 90 on it
