    Need a Job?

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock

    (MADE IN JAPAN )
    For 6 am.

    While his coffeepot

    (MADE IN CHINA)

Was perking, he shaved with his

    Electric razor

    (MADE IN HONG KONG)

    He put on a

    Dress shirt

    (MADE IN SRI LANKA),

    Designer jeans

    (MADE IN SINGAPORE)

    And

    Tennis shoes

    (MADE IN KOREA)

After cooking his breakfast in his new

    Electric skillet

    (MADE IN INDIA)

    He sat down with his

    Calculator

    (MADE IN MEXICO)

To see how much he could spend today. After setting his

    Watch

    (MADE IN TAIWAN )

    To the radio

    (MADE IN INDIA )

    He got in his car

    (MADE IN GERMANY )

    Filled it with GAS

    (from Saudi Arabia )

    And continued his search

For a good paying AUSTRALIAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging

    And fruitless day

    Checking his

    Computer

    ( made in MALAYSIA ),

John decided to relax for a while.

    He put on his sandals

    (MADE IN BRAZIL ),

    Poured himself a glass of

    Wine

    (MADE IN FRANCE )

    And turned on his

    TV

    (MADE IN INDONESIA ),

And then wondered why he can't

    Find a good paying job

    In AUSTRALIA

AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT WHO ARE GOING TO CREATE EVEN MORE JOBS OVERSEAS WITH A CARBON TAX DESIGNED TO DESTROY EVEN MORE AUSTRALIAN JOBS BECAUSE ITS IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST

LEAD BY A PRIME MINISTER MADE IN WALES

Why didn't he try the mines, I hear they're hiring.

I think it's been a very long time since Australia has had an internationally viable manufacturing industry.

But, the powerplants that made those things were probably run by Australian uranium, the equipment was made from steel mined in Australia, and the Chinese workers were snacking on candied Ginger grown in Australia.

Why other countries value the Holden and Ford products made in Australia and the Australian people complain about thet there is not industry here
It does matter which party is in Government we have this cronical problem since the end of the seventies and as long as the Australian people do not give a chance to the local manufactured products we will not have a chance.

Ever driven a bomberdoor or foulcan?,if thats the best we can do it's no wonder people don't buy them.Remember also they only survive because of government protection which means they hide behind legislation that makes them lazy and uncompetitive, just like the Yank manufacturers. If they had to stand on thier own two feet both Holden and Ford would have died out years ago or they, like the European/Japanese/Korean makers they would be battling for our money which means thier products would be improving all the time. Checkout ARB's manufacturing plant in Kilsyth. Exporting around the world. REDARC in Adelaide and I'm sure there are others.... sadly not enough!

Not to mention that they're assembled with parts imported from OS.
