I've just spent 4 weeks driving Land Cruisers in The Pilbara...

Just came back from working in The Pilbara driving a Turbo 6 and a Turbo V8 LandCruiser WorkMates...

    Am I still allowed here?

Yes, as long as you don't say anything nice about them....

    Cheers,

PS, what the heck! go on, - stir the pot and tell us how much better they are up there.... especially regarding 'reliability'.

I drive a turbo v8 cruiser company car and to be honest (and trying not to be biased :-) ) was really disappointed. Not as gutsy as I hoped, not much ground clearance and plain boring interior. Not even a centre console or door pockets to put my wallet etc!!
For the price I would want more, lucky I don't pay for it :-)

I drive the V8 76 every week. However I still prefer my Disco1. Although they are not that different. Disco1 just rides better and has a roomier cabin. The Cruiser has more cargo area and more power but revs too high on the highway. Sure isn't worth the $75k or so price tag.

Don't be too shocked if it burns when you pee for a while. Its like that Jeep Thing that some people get.
