It's too cold to be in Ippy this time of year Dave.![]()
Ive done the initial inspection on DMO71's disco, Its not the total basket case I was expecting.. but theres work to be done and the opportunity to get hands on experience if you want it.
so friday 08JUL11 I'll be tackling the head gaskets on a V8 Auto Discovery.
I'll be having the BBQ fired up for dinner so lets make a do of this thing.
If theres the want for a tutorial/howto on doing a head on the rover v8 we'll need a photographer. I wont have enough hands to take piccys.
anyone who wants to help out is welcome.
Dave

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
dont worry, I have a plan....
as an update,
the parts for doing the bearings, rotors, oil cooler lines and servicing an auto have been authorised so that'll be getting done as well.
and As a bonus, the two people most in need of being held accountable will be here to be held accountable.

Having twice now being disappointed by water loss still happening after head gasket replacements on other people's D1 3.9's, I fervently wish you luck with the outcome. Those bigger bore blocks are sooo prone to cracking.
If I lived a bit closer I would give you a hand, but just a bit too far away Dave. Anyhow you are to be commended for your help.
Cheers......Brian
