I guess the response from the owners is to be expected. A lot of interest over the years, but no real knowledge of their $$value would make them defensive. Throw in the old city (rip off merchant)/ bush (yokel thick-head) stereotype expectation and you have your classic "Failure to communicate".
Has anyone over west attempted to bring an credible, impartial 3rd party into the discussion?
Someone from a military/ SASR museum to give an indication of value to the owners and can put the case for rescue/ resoration without a perceived vested interest.
When there's an impasse, you need a deal broker.

so it would cost approx $14-16 K in your front yard,then you would have to get it going and up to an Australian roadworthy condition and rego (Qld about $1000 for a V8)
