Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced Brisbane supplier of ally checker or diamond plate?
I want to build a storage box on the drawer bar of my camper trailer.
I'd prefer polished diamond plate but beggers can't be choosy

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Hi Ralph, Just go to Capral ally direct, they sell to the public and usually have about the best prices of all the wholesalers. Tool box?? So I'm thinking you'd be looking at about 1.6mm chequer plate? If so it'll be about $180.00-$200.00 for a 2400x1200mm sheet
happy fabrications

I have a few larger offcuts of it and one good sized sheet gathering dust at home (I'm in Brisbane), may be what you are after but this stuff is called propellor plate which may be the same as what you refer to as diamond plate, thinner and bright polished finish, usually used for tool boxes or panelling etc. It's been sitting in my shed since 2008 and is still shiny.
I don't reckon I'll use it on my series 3 as I want to keep the original look (originally got it to throw on a black suzuki sierra which I sold a while back) so if thats the stuff you're after PM me and we can work something out. Should be more than enough to do a good sized box but I can give you the sheet sizes tonight if you want to check.
Just bought 2400x1200x1.6 plate from Action Aluminum at Acacia Ridge including cutting for a 1500x350 piece was I think $118.
Service wise was spot on and would definitely use again.
Believe they have a n/side store as well.
