Sending freight to New Zealand ????

I've had a request for a spare wheel carrier to be sent to New Zealand, but the online quotes I've had for freight so far don't seem to be any cheaper than sending to much more distant countries.
Does anyone on here regularly send stuff to NZ, who do you use ??
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers, Murray

    I just use Australia Post.

Unless it is really heavy they are relatively cheap to post to NZ. I used to post mobile phones over there years ago, I seem to remember Bris to Perth was more expensive than Bris to NZ.

NZ is a fair bit closer to Brissy than Perth. Planes just fly in opposite directions

Australia Post is not an option as my package would be 35kg.
From what I've found online and talking to a member who lives in NZ, it seems that freight from AU to NZ is not much cheaper than from elsewhere in the world.
I'll keep looking and see what we come up with.

The company I work for has customers in NZ, so I'll ask around and see what they do for freight.

Roughly where in NZ does it need to go to (in case it makes a difference when I ask)?

not heard anything since the earthquake about shipping.

has been a lot easier to ship to europe and from japan.

Hadn't considered that. I'll measure and weigh things to see if it would work.

It needs to go to Rotorua (Nth island) The customer is checking freight options from the NZ end with his company too.
