I had some problems out that way a few weeks ago, the Bulloo overflow is closed for months apparently. So if youre at Thargomindah you can go on to Tibooburra and dont forget to stop at Noccundrah Pub.....take time (hours) to look around and read the history. The Family Hotel in Tibooburra will give you all best directions, roads available etc. You will have to do a little backtrack back up past Tibooburra to Poeppels Cnr then youre almost free to roam the Strezleckie and Birdsville tracks via William Ck.
My best advice after my recent trip is to look at your maps, select where you want to go and ring the pubs in that area for the BEST local information. Bugger the road traffic authorities......they never have it right.
gday
thanks for the info, will go to Noccudra pub and plan from there, anything could happen before then, do you know what road is like between noccundra and birdsville via innaminicka ?
