Thread: D1 panel replacement

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows about compatibility between Disco 1 & Disco 2A panels. I love my D1(300tdi engine and the effort I've put into making it MINE) but i really like the front of the D2A, the lights and grill mainly, and also the higher set rear lights. Does anyone know if these parts are able to be swapped.
I cant find any pics that show bolt holes or anything.
Would it be a case of changing the front quarter panels & bonnet to fit the lights and grill.

p.s. I've seen the local rice burners with the front of one car and the rear of another so surely a REAL car wouldn't have a problem.

There's some more length in a few bits (most in the rear after the rear doors). There may be a little in the trailing edge of the front guards. Lights mount differently, front chassis ends are different so bars etc are different. Grille should be adaptable but I'd go get a Saudi grille anyway (or buy me one and you can have the std D2 version).
