Hoo-Roo,

Hey Guys,
All i've got is my dodgy phone camera for the time being which won't get decent shots of them on - but here are some pictures of the mountings and the roof console I built :P
If you live near Sydney (I'm inner west) feel free to pop by anytime to check them out.
There WILL be another group buy in the coming month - stay tuned and feel free to register your interest.

Alex, what is your overhead console made from? And what UHF do you have?

wont be able to fit them for a while though =[
thanks =]
Alex, Could I get a close up pic of your mounting to the roof rack.
Dave.
Hey Jeff,
I built the console myself from MDF and a whole lotta sandpaper. The UHF is a 40 channel remote head Oricom unit - $160 brand new on fleabay.
Hey Dave, I simply drilled two holes in the square-section and mounted the bar accordingly. In the box you'll find a mounting kit with a half-pipe like block, a semi-circular-prism and two high-tensile bolts (and nylocks/washers).
Place the bolt with one washer though the semi circular prism then place that through the mount on the light bar. That will slide across (with difficulty). From there the half-pipe slides onto the bolt, washer and nylock and you're good to go.
I'll post pics tomorrow.
Alex
Alex. The main reason I wanted a pic was to see if your light was mounted upside down. It appears to me that it is. Is it ok to mount upside down? There is a rubber grommet in the bottom and I thought this could be for draining water/condensation. I was also wondering whether the heat sinks would work properly upside down.
If upside down is ok then don't worry about the pic. I have already figured out the mounting hardware.
One other question. How many watts is each globe? I could be interested in a 4 globe unit like you have on the rear if another buy goes ahead, depending on current draw.
Dave.
will be keen on a 2nd group buy for one of these.
