    110 v's 130

    Hi
Tossing up between 110 dual cab and a 130 dual cab.
Like the manouvreability of the 110 but can fit a genuine slide on camper onto the 130.
    Any thoughts?

Just a matter of where your priorities are, I think.

It is also not just an issue of size. No ABS or ETC with a 130.

There is also the concern of the slightly more shoulder room in the 130. That would be a huge consideration for me as I am 6 4" and over 17 stone!

    Cheers

Re ETC, I thought that was the case but i also couldn't work out if all 110's had ABS and or ETC as well or just the station wagons.

Not all 110s come standard with an Anti-locking Braking System and Electronic Traction Control, but I understand it is an available option for those that don't. In simple terms, ABS and ETC are controlled by the same electronic module and you cannot have one without the other.

Not sure why but when I sat in both about a year ago my shoulder was nt tight up against the side of the 130.
For long distance touring I would find the 110 that little bit cramped for my liking. Its a shame cos I would love one but I suppose the D4 makes up for it!!

living with a 130 in a big city would be a pain... i don't know about the other guys with 130's but i cant get into a standard car park without having two cracks at it (2 point turn to get 90deg) the turning circle is just too big. much car park rage is had while i do this too. it's funny watching people loose it while i park.

i love the 130 to bits though =]
and where i live is far from a big city

    G'day Simo, something out of the 2011 Defender booklet, two options provided;

boost pack option - boost alloy wheels, locking wheel nuts, ABS and ETC.

heavy duty pack option - heavy duty suspension, reinforced chassis, heavy duty steel wheels, and increases GVM by 450 kg to 3,500 kg.

heavy duty pack and boost pack cannot be ordered together

The 90, and all 110 models , can have the boost pack, while only the cab chassis, high capacity pickup, and hard top 110's can have the heavy duty pack.

All 130's can have the heavy duty pack, but none the boost pack [ ABS, ETC.] don't know if this is the same for models before 2011.cheers, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
