    Winch Isolator

    Hi there guys,

    Just took the plunge and bought myself a 12000lb winch for the Defender. I would like to fit a Manual Isolator for obvious reasons. I have read in some threads that people have fitted them, they are apparently for trucks.

    Does anybody know where I can get hold of a Manuel Isolator capable of 500A?

    Whilst I've heard the stories... I have yet to ever see a confirmed case of the act...

    Easier IMO to leave the positive off the battery until going on a trip if you are that worried...

    If you isolate the earth wire to the solnoid pack it'll be much easier and then you can just use a little isolator switch on the dash.
